November 2009: Maya Plisetskaya is awarded with the Russian Ballet Prize "Soul of the Dance" in the nomination "Legend"

The Ministry of Culture of the Russian
Federation and the editorial department of the magazine "Ballet"
announced on these days the winners of the Ballet Prize "Soul
of the Dance” of the year 2009. Among the laureates of this
prestigious national award, which is granted each year since 1994
for first-class and outstanding achievements in dance art, is Maya
Plisetskaya’s name right at the front. The diva of dance celebrated
in the whole world as a ballet legend now will be officially honored
as such by this prize in the nomination “Legend”.
The “Soul of the Dance” will be handed over to Maya Plisetskaya in April 2010 (the exact date will be announced later) during the prize giving ceremony in Moscow. |
