A Tribute to Maya Plisetskaya
One
of the leading DVD labels for classical music “Arthaus Musik”
pays again tribute to the creative activity of Maya Plisetskaya and releases
a new DVD with the famous ballet diva. It contains a selection of creations
from her collaborations with major choreographers such as Roland Petit
and Maurice Béjart. They are all brilliant achievements from the
very rich career full of highlights of the prima ballerina assoluta, including
the world famous “Carmen-Suite”. Plisetskaya slips into different
roles and demonstrates her great mutability as actress and ballerina.
