Oboe Concerto for oboe and orchestra took place in Amsterdam
on 18th June 2010 in the Great Hall of the Concertgebouw.
Rodion Shchedrin composed the liturgy The Sealed
Angel, as he himself said, followed his heart, nearly
as if someone were guiding his hand.
The premiere of the new production of the ballet The
Little Humpbacked Horse in the choreography by Alexei Ratmansky
on the stage of the Mariinsky Theatre in St Petersburg in March 2009 caused
an enthusiastic reception by the audience as well as by many critics.

CD with music works of Rodion Shchedrin.

and Rodion Shchedrin is already the third successful co-operation in recent
time between one of the most famous artistic couple of Russia and the
Academy of Arts in Berlin.
His latest music work "Journey to Eisenstadt"
for violin and piano Rodion Shchedrin composed for the London's Southbank
Centre and dedicated to the Greek violinist Leonidas Kavakos, who is recognized
at the head of his subject worldwide today.
The Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and
the editorial department of the magazine "Ballet" announced
on these days the winners of the Ballet Prize "Soul of the Dance
of the year 2009.
"The Seagull" is a very touching ballet performance
in two acts based on the play of the same name by Anton Chekhov.
The Italian Film Academy (Accademia del Cinema Italiano),
