A representative of Rodion Shchedrin – Svetlana Smirnova has presented a gift to the collection of Bachrushin museum on January 22, 2016. It was made in the name of the composer. The two dresses were made by the favourite mode designer of the great Ballerina Pierre Cardin.
The two dresses – one in green, another in blue has already seen the walls of the Museum. It was on the event of the opening of the exhibition to the 80th jubilee of Maya Plisetskaya when she opened it.
Rodion Shchedrin makes such a big present to the museum for the second time. On Nobember 27th he has already given 4 black dresses of Maya Plisetskaya to the museum.
The dresses of Maya Plisetskaya that were given to the Museum will be presented to the audience during the exhibitions to come, dedicated to the Prima Ballerina Assoluta.
At the Moment the Bachrushin Theatre Museum has in its collection 23 ballet costumes of Maya Plisetsaya. She gave them to the museum some years ago personally.
